Blokkade dynamischIP-adres

Geachte meneer de Bruin,

Weet u wel wat dat betekent als u dynamische IP-adressen blokkeert? Vraag het eens aan uw collega RonaldB.

Die heeft dat ooit gedaan en daarmee duizenden Italianen en mij gedupeerd vanwege wat hij als vandalisme zag en dat is jaren geleden. Toevallig werd ik daar slachtoffer van en kon hij het rechtzetten. Nu is eigenlijk het omgekeerde aan de hand. Ik zie de bijdragen die ik met mijn (tijdelijk) IP-adres heb gedaan niet als verstorend, maar eerder nuttig, zoals vertalingen e.d. Ook in de Community Chat (zeg maar de evenknie van De Kroeg) heb ik een fout aangekaart die inmiddels is verbeterd.

U handelt als een betweterige bureaucraat, bijna dictator en nog wel een week voor weinig vandalisme... Daarvoor moet je op nl heel wat op je kerfstok hebben en dan kun je ook nog naar de ArbCom. Bij WikiData ook en zo ja wat is het adres?

Het is mij gebeurd. Zie User_talk:151.40.186.86 dat nu iemand anders kan hebben, wschl. een Italiaan... Inmiddels heb ik een ander adres toegewezen gekregen. Dynamisch :-) 151.40.183.151 13:10, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
P.S. Ik heb overigens geen "meerdere accounts" hier en anoniem bijdragen moet m.i. mogelijk blijven tenzij de regels veranderen.

Volgens mij snap je het niet helemaal: je account is geblokkeerd, het is dan niet de bedoeling dat je verder gaat met je IP-adres. De regels zijn er heel duidelijk over: "a block or editing restriction placed on the main account applies to the user behind the account, regardless of which one they use.". Als u om wat voor u mo(ti)verende reden dan ook een hoofdaccount wil blokkeren is dat tot daaraantoe, maar het blokkeren van (een reeks) IP-adressen, zeker als deze dynamisch is (resp. zijn) is een hachelijke (lees: onverkwikkelijke) zaak aangezien u daarmee mensen kan treffen die geheel onschuldig zijn. Zelfs als het vast zou zijn dupeert u een x aantal mensen, namelijk de huisgenoten van de zgn. "overtreder" van "uw" regels (lees: uw interpretatie van de regels). Zo beleefd/zakelijk genoeg? Ik wil graag helpen, maar als u mij dat onmogelijk wil maken voor zo'n lange tijd betwijfel ik de rechtmatigheid van het vertrouwen dat internationaal in u is gesteld. Ik ben daar zelf ook debet aan. sysops zijn er alleen op mainframes. Afkoring van 'systeemoperators' die de knoppen bedienen. Ik denk niet dat de Nederlandstalige Wikipedia een mainframe heeft. ZeaForUs, ik geloof dat je een flink bord voor je kop hebt. Je hoofdaccount is geblokkeerd, die blokkade is voor JOU bedoeld, elk IP adres wat JIJ dan nog gebruikt om alsnog te bewerken, valt onder blokontduiking. En dan kan je wel een verhaal over dynamische IP adressen ophangen, en dat is misschien wel zo, maar het is bedoeld om JOU van het bewerken af te houden terwijl JIJ geblokkeerd bent. Wat is eigenlijk het echte argument geweest om mij en alle anderen die toevallig dat adres door onze provider krijgen toegewezen te blokkeren? U maakt er een soort kip-ei-kwestie van en blokkeert mensen die totaal onschuldig zijn en ik weet nog steeds niet waar ik me "schuldig" over zou kunnen voelen. Was het nou zo erg dat de moderator in kwestie (Sjoerddebruin) meteen begint met een week in plaats van eerst een dag, dan drie. Wenst hij meteen een ArbCom-zaak (zal ik niet doen omdat hij nog niet zoveel ervaring heeft met modereren) of hoe zit dat? Wat mij betreft knoppenmisbruik...

Ik ga hier niet meer verder op in, je hebt nog steeds niet door waarvoor je een blokkade hebt gekregen. Dit is tevens een ander project, andere regels. De overtredingen waren zo ernstig dat ik na overleg met andere sysops tot de conclusie ben gekomen om je account een week te blokkeren. Request for feedback on my GSoC'14 proposal

Hi Sjoerddebruin,

I am planning to work on the project titled "Tools for mass migration of legacy translated wiki content" this summer under Google Summer of Code. I have drafted a proposal for the same over the past few weeks. This project is going to help the translation adminstrators like you in a great way, as it would completely automate the tedious manual task of preparing a page for translation and then importing the translations into the Translate extension. You can check the proposal page for detailed information on how I plan to accomplish this.

As you would be an end user of this tool, it would be great if you could go through the proposal and provide feedback/suggestions. Your feedback would definitely help me improve the proposal as well help in creating an even better tool. You can do the same on the discussion page of the proposal or reply here, whichever is convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you!

GND vs. DNB

Hi Sjoerddebruin, can you please check your edit on GND ID (P227). You've add the aliasses "DNB" and "DNB-identificatiecode".[1] Imho these should be the aliasses for DNB edition ID (P1292). There is no perfect solution ;) VIAF doesn't care for our problems, since they only use GND and the GND was originally initiated by the DNB. We could use aliasses like "DNB-GND" or "DNB / GND authority file" ... --Kolja21 (talk) 20:17, 29 July 2014 (UTC)

When searching, I've found two items about customs officers. The first one only had a label, so I thought you made a mistake. After deleting I saw there was one page pointing at it, so I have changed that one to the second item about customs officers.
Do you really handle it this way, creating separate items for every role for every movie?

As I don't think this is ideal, I made a proposal for a new property. Given that the other participants were in favor of using the current property, this is what I did.

Popcultuur

Hallo Sjoerd, als ik nl:popcultuur lees dan kan ik mij niet aan de indruk onttrekken dat het iets anders is als en:popular culture. Popular culture is als ik het goed begrijp nl:volkscultuur, terwijl popcultuur refererend aan popmuziek een zeer specifiek en modern gedeelte is. I'm creating items for churches in Ille-et-Vilaine who have photo on a category on Commons (not a valid sitelink for WD:N but) who have a Mérimée and Glad identiers (two serious and publicly available references per WD:N) and are link to other items (including but not limited to the architects, isn't it some structural need ?). So I guessed that Q18595107 was notable enough. Could you please explain further your laconic «Does not meet the notability policy»?

FYI: the goal is to prepared an edit-a-thon about the churches in Ille-et-Vilaine this sunday to make wikipedia articles creation on theses churches easier. To go further, the monument with Mérimée identifiers will probably be included in Wiki Loves Monuments 2015 and Wikidata could be a useful tool for that, should we go back to the old heritage database (which I was told is to be replaced by Wikidata but you seems to think otherwise…).

My message to Magnus Manske

Dear Sjoerddebruin, I had a message from you, indicating I had some bad intentions with my contribution Special:Contributions/Dan_Koehl. It seems that text disappeared, which for me is a mystery, since I never deleted any text, only submitted a question to Magnus, something that should be obvious, checking the diff. I have no explanation how text can disappear, just becasue I add a question, and being a user on Wikimedia since 2002, and having since then different roles as admin etc, seems a strange reason to judge me like a vandla, and suggesting me to try the sandbox, something, that of course, can not help me in communication with Magnus.
