It is somehow difficult to know, what kind of difficulties people run into while using Wikidata. I like the ideas that @Nightwish62: was advocating. Maybe going one step further: we could embed videos from Commons that show how statements are added and how properties are used. It is always hard to put something into text, when your audience doesn't have the vocabulary. And we just have to face that most people have to use Wikidata at least a few weeks until they understand it. Yes, I couldn't agree more! My impression is just as you describe, the learning curve, even to do very simple things, is still way too steep, even for someone with a technical background. If videos were embedded in the /doc subpage and that were transcluded onto the property page, then that would allow for the kind of documentation you're describing.
