I would like to solicit advice on whether to record inhabitant (Q22947) as an instance of or subclass of a demonym. I was using it as an instance of, as in this example:

Kenyans (Q60723796)

 instance of: inhabitant
                  of Kenya

However, one editor has deleted this on some items and commented that it should be a subclass:

Kenyans (Q60723796)

  subclass of: inhabitant
                   of Kenya

I'm having difficulty applying the concepts of "instance of" and "subclass of" to the value "inhabitant" when it is related to a demonym/national group. I'd appreciate some definitive answer about this! UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 20:55, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
