Motivation[edit]
raga (Q216926) is an unique feature of Indian music, which defines the melodic framework of the music. Ragas are not only used in Hindustani classical music (Q1770695) and Carnatic music (Q956883), the two main types of Indian classical music, but also widely used in qawwali (Q512410), ghazal (Q281111), Rabindra Sangeet (Q3345491) etc. This property will help describe the ragas of musical work produced in Indian sub-continent. -- Bodhisattwa (talk) 15:43, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
