Motivation[edit]
Damit können wir die Sendungslogistik Unternehmen weiter vervollständigen. Dieser Standard zu der die ID gehört wird von den Beschriebenen Firmen zum größten Bestandteil benutzt. Zur Identifizierung von Fahrzeugen, Sendungen, Paketen, Standorten, etc. ZellmerLP (talk) 21:05, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

Question @ZellmerLP: Die deutsche Beschreibung ist noch sehr unklar, und eine zusätzliche englische Beschreibung ist in diesem Projekt eigentlich Pflicht. Außerdem: Wer stellt die UPOC aus? Ist sie ein rein kommerzielles Dings von irgendeiner Firma oder ein nationaler Standard? Ist es eine stabile Kennung (ID)? Gibt es eine Datenbank, auf die wir mit der Nummer verweisen können? Also it looks like the datatype you want is external-id ("Number" usually means "Quantity", but I don't think that's what you want here). ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:06, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- The datatype should be string and the domain business. The proposal is for only the part of the UPOC code that denotes the logistics provider, so a good english label would be "UPOC provider-ID". The whole code is used for shipments as far as I can see, and some other things like postboxes. The number of records is bogus. The issuer appears to be a Swiss logistics software company. @ZellmerLP: Is this number common on packages in german-speaking countries, if so how common, and in which countries?
