It should be noted that most sports statistics sites are powered and maintained by enthusiasts. From England Football Online (Q60146243) and englandstats.com (Q75473568) to SpeedskatingResults.com (Q41480081), HockeyDB (Q19385775) and Transfermarkt (Q2449070). By and large, these resources only structure data with guaranteed falsifiability and give it out in a convenient format. Moreover, identifiers for fan resources are in principle acceptable for Wikidata (Fandom article ID (P6262)).
