Motivation[edit]
The data sheets by the C.I.P. (Commission Internationale Permanente pour l'Epreuve des Armes à Feu Portatives (Q1115557)) are a very good source of information for pretty much everything regarding ammunition. It is not some self-made, self-measured project, but "an international organisation which sets standards for safety testing of firearms" (en:WP). I have used their data sheets for Wikidata and Wikipedia in the past and I think it's worth collecting them in a property.
Note that their data sheets are provided in french, english and german so it should be used with language of work or name (P407). The links just differ in the used lang code. So eg

Comment I would be supportive, but can you make this into an external identifier with a formatter URL, e.g.

@Pamputt: I changed the property from single-value constraint (Q19474404) to multi-value constraint (Q21510857).
I also changed the format constraint from (de|en|es) to (de|en|fr) since the original page exists in spanish, but the data sheets do not. It needs some further tweaking since the part after "tab-" is one of those variants (i|ii|iii|iv|v|vi|vii|viii|ix|x|xi). Since I'm not 100% sure what I would change there I'll leave it for now.
I have also added language of work or name (P407) as required qualifier constraint (Q21510856) (I have just copied the implementation from official website (P856))
I have included the CIP datasheet on four items for now: .460 Steyr (Q18404479), .22 Hornet (Q158698), .300 Weatherby Magnum (Q4545248), 9×23mm Steyr (Q2818772). The four items are examples for tab-i to tab-iv. Again the note that tables exist from roman 1 (I) to roman 11 (XI). The collected cartridge type for each table can be found in the overview at the top.
I don't really like that publisher (P123) + Commission Internationale Permanente pour l'Epreuve des Armes à Feu Portatives (Q1115557) is on every value as qualifier, but I'm not sure if this should be added to the property.

- @D-Kuru: All of these is perfect; you were right to change all these constrains. I changed the regex to take into account what you wrote. If further change are needed, let us see when we will have more values. About publisher (P123), I do not really like as well; it is redundant, so I think we can skip it and use only language of work or name (P407). Pamputt (talk) 16:16, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Pamputt:I discovered a new patterns:
- 416 Taylor Mag.: tab-iii/416-taylor-mag-en (english, it misses tabXcal and pageY)
- 17 Rem. Fireball: tab-i/17-rem-fireball-ge (german, same as above, like above also uses ge instead of de for the german datasheet)
- This pattern seems to be used from cartridges with date or revision after 2010 (so 2011-01-01 and later)
- 28/70 ("Cal. 28"): tab-vii/tabvii-28-eng-2 (english, mixed old and later patterns, uses eng for english, deu for german and fra for french
- There is no pattern when this list appears. Some have it, others not. The most I found were created in 1984 and had a revision in 2017. Many in 1984 however don't follow this pattern.
- 40 x 46 BDLR X: There is at least this cartridge that only has the datasheet in one language (here it's french)
- 6,5 Grendel: tab-i/6 (enlish only even the links say they are german and french)
- 9 x 39: tab-i/9-x-39-180314-en1 (egnlish, there is a 1 after the language, same for fr and de)
- It's similar for 410/50,7 (1), 410/63,5 (2), 410/65 (3), 410/70 (4), 410/73 (5) and 410/76 (6). The are all tab-vii/410-en-X (X beeing the number in the brackets). They furthermore seem to have the same datasheet for all of them.
- Long story short: I'm not sure if it is really a good idea to provide a unique pattern to each of them. A majority seems to have the same layout and then there are a few single cartridges that don't follow the layout. And each of those few cartrdiges have are different from each other.
- I'm not sure how this is done, but I guess just by adding a new pattern to the list. I also added the CIP as publisher to the property. If somebody thinks it does not fit they can revert my edit with a little note for it.

- The second most used pattern would be tab\-(i{1,3}|iv|v|vi|vii|viii|ix|x|xi)\/ANYVALUE\-(de|en|fr)\ so tab\-(i{1,3}|iv|v|vi|vii|viii|ix|x|xi)\/(?i).+\-(de|en|fr)\ when I use image (P18) as template. --D-Kuru (talk) 20:50, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
