Motivation[edit]

Ávvir is one of the most widely read Northern Saami newspapers and often covers topics not covered in mainstream newspapers or media outlets. This property would allow us to connect not only general topics but also indigenous topics that are not otherwise linked to in Wikidata. While many of the indigenous topics would, of course, be Saami-related, Ávvir also covers a wide range of topics related to other indigenous peoples that are often covered in indigenous newsites that do not use topic IDs.
