Instead of supporting the structure and common elements of a web page, Wikidata provides structure for all the knowledge stored in Wikipedia and on the other Wikimedia projects. Wikidata is based on the Mediawiki software just like any other Wiki, extended by Wikibase, the software which powers Wikidata and is designed to manage large amounts of structured data. Structure is not added directly to the content of Wikipedia or other Wikimedia site pages, like in tables or lists, nor does it require any knowledge of markup languages, data schemas, object notation, or other special syntax by Wikidata users; instead, data is added and edited to Wikidata through user-friendly input forms. All data stored on wikidata can be used to generate all kinds of automated and up to date lists or tables or other structured pages in any Wikimedia site or elsewhere.
Traduzione "Strutturare i dati" confusa[edit]
Buongiorno, la sezione "Strutturare i dati" commenta la tabella che pero' è fin troppo tradotta : di fianco a K2 bisognerebbe conservare "hauteur" al posto di "altezza", come nell'originale in inglese, per dare senso al testo. Cordialità--Patafisik (talk) 15:05, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
