Français : L'Enfant endormi sous la garde d'un chien courageux, tableau présenté par Jeanne-Elisabeth Chaudet au Salon de 1801 (no 62) et conservé au musée d'art et d'histoire de Rochefort (musée Hèbre de Saint-Clément), en dépôt du musée du Louvre depuis 1892. Un enfant endormi dans son berceau, sous la garde d'un chien courageux qui vient de tuer près de lui une énorme vipère. Inspiré de la légende Saint Guinefort, lévrier qui sauva le jeune enfant de ses maîtres, alors endormi, de la morsure d'un serpent
English: The Sleeping Child in the Care of a Brave Dog, painting exhibited by Jeanne-Elisabeth Chaudet at the Salon of 1801 (# 62) in the collection of the musée d'art et d'histoire de Rochefort (musée Hèbre de Saint-Clément). A child asleep in his cradle, in the care of a courageous dog who has just killed a huge viper near him. Inspired by the legend Saint Guinefort, a greyhound who saved a young child from the bite of a snake.
